BirdNET: Bird sound identification

BirdNET is a research platform that currently supports identifying around 3000 common bird species by sounds. With distinguished technology of artificial intelligence and neural networks, BirdNET helps you better recognize and study birds from various avian sounds.
After simply recording the environmental sounds by your phone, you can use this app to select any interesting interval and see which bird there may be. Moreover, you can explore the bird map nearby and check the detailed bird knowledge.

BirdNET can now support automatic recognition of over 3000 most common bird species worldwide, with new species continuously adding. The observation menu is more simple for new users, and is able to save clips for later if without a good internet connection. Partner logos and brandings are added too.

How to use the BirdNET app?

· Download and open it, and you can immediately see a recording screen
· Record the sounds of your environment
· Select an interval including bird sounds. Notice that the interval shouldn’t be too short.
· Click the “analyze” button and wait for a few seconds
· The app will provide you with the most likely species of birds you just hear
